I deleted the entire post for this week- instead I will post these 2 videos-

I think my friends should at least watch the one titled ‘the video I said I would never make’- I did it because I felt it would help my friends understand some stuff- God bless you all.

To reassure my friends- in the first video I said I was going to mention names- the post I deleted IN NO WAY mentioned any things my friends have done.

I would NEVER talk about the things I learned- from friends- that have happened on the streets- these things were shared with me- as friends.

The thing I was going to write- was another- of many- things I heard that law enforcement did TO THEM [Like maybe planting Zanax on a friend- then- according to my friend- the cop later admitted it].

Now- that’s what I was talking about.

I deleted the whole post- frankly- because it’s difficult to tell these things- without using my friend’s names.
What concerns me about these MANY stories I have heard over the years- is when I tell the guys ‘why don’t you report it’- they are scared.

So- to reassure my friends- who do see my good and bad days- I will never get into the stuff you guys told me in confidence.

Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
Psalm 82:2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Psalm 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psalm 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Psalm 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psalm 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Matthew 13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

Matthew 13:2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
Matthew 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Matthew 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together .

1.      Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteouswitness

16 If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong; 17 Then both the men, between whom thecontroversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges , which shall be in those days; 18 And the judges shall make diligent inquisition : and, behold, if the witness be afalse witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; 19
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, falsewitness, blasphemies:
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery , Do not kill , Do not steal , Do not bearfalse witness
if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I’m going to say a few things here at the end- that some might have problems with.

Thru out this ordeal [the video above- that I said ‘I would never make’] some-over time- said to me ‘John- everyone knows the girl lied’.

And- to be honest- I came to see this over time [thru many events].

But- why would a person say ‘I’m sorry- I don’t remember doing this- but if I did- I’m sorry’ [on facebook].

You might not believe this- but because- at first- being I didn’t know for sure- it would hurt the accuser- if she was right [now- be smart here- a person trying to deny something they did- would never do this- see?]

Now- you might say ‘your nuts’- well- maybe I am.

So- after all we learned at this stage- I’m going to say ‘I’m 99% sure I didn’t do this’- but- if I did- then ‘I’m sorry’.

Another lesson learned- after 2 years- you might think ‘wow- I had no idea it would affect him like this’.

Let me say something- everything has changed in my life- and even though I feel I’m back on track to a degree- you have no idea how this sticks with a person- for life.

You never know if the people you are trying to help- have read about you on-line.

Then- you might be working with someone- helping a street person- all is going well- then one day they are afraid to look at you- ahh- they read something.

Or- if you think someone knows- then that person accepts you- you feel great.

But- if that person avoids you- maybe for another reason- you think ‘O my God- I thought they knew!’
I never realized that your life changes- forever.
I’m typing at the coffee shop right now- but- a few weeks ago I gave some of the kids my card- so they could enjoy the site.

Then I thought ‘I haven’t seen so and so for a few days’- a new friend.

Again ‘O shit- I gave him the card- now he read everything’.

I mean this never ends.

So- maybe me talking openly about this helps others- I hope so.

  WHAT IS THE PROMISED LAND?
I stuck the notes in the middle of these verses [not on purpose- but started commenting midway thru- and that’s where they are]- So- for those who don’t read the verses I post- at least scroll down and read the comments I made- I think they would help- my comments are scattered between the verses- it would be best just to read all the verses too]
Numbers 13:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Numbers 13:2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
Numbers 13:3 And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.

Numbers 13:25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
Numbers 13:26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
Numbers 13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
Numbers 13:28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
Numbers 13:29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
Numbers 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Numbers 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Numbers 13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

Joshua 1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

Joshua 1:2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
Joshua 1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Joshua 2:1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there.
Joshua 2:2 And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country.
Joshua 2:3 And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.
Joshua 2:4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:
Joshua 2:18 Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee.
Joshua 2:19 And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

Joshua 3:5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you.
Joshua 3:7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.
Joshua 4:14 on that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

[NOTE- this week I did read some of the passages I plan on speaking on in the video- even though I wasn’t even doing a ‘deep study’ yet- ‘stuff’ [Hidden Manna] always seems to Pop Out. So- I added this chapter because a few days ago I quoted Revelation 5 in the videos- if you remember I said how the images we see in Revelation are significant- so in Revelation 5 we see Jesus with ‘7 horns’- an image of authority- I also said how he himself is a type of the Ark- so- in this famous battle of Jericho- the priests are marching around the city with the Ark- and they are blowing 7 trumpets- made of Rams horns- when you see the image of a Ram [like in the story of Abraham offering Isaac] it means the true Lamb sacrifice is still to come- so the 7 rams horns- blown by the priests- were indeed a prophetic image of a future Lamb- still to come].
Joshua 6:1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
Joshua 6:2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
Joshua 6:3 And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
Joshua 6:4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
Joshua 6:5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
Joshua 6:6 And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD.
Joshua 6:7 And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD.
Joshua 6:8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.
Joshua 6:9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
Joshua 6:10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
Joshua 6:Joshua 11: So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
Joshua 6:12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.
Joshua 6:13 And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
Joshua 6:14 And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
Joshua 6:15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.
Joshua 6:16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
Joshua 6:17 And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
Joshua 6:18 And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
Joshua 6:19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.
Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

NOTES HERE, AND MORE BELOW
[ I’m giving you a flavor of the story here- I don’t want to load this post with bible verses- though I wouldn’t mind- but the intent of me teaching this is to show that once again- when the Apostles wrote about these stories in the New Testament- they saw them as primarily finding fulfillment in the completed work of Christ- the writer of Hebrews- chapters 3-4 [copied below] is trying to persuade his Jewish brothers to see that the promise of REST- and inheriting the land- was not talking about natural land- but looking forward to the kingdom of God.
He says ‘If Joshua gave them rest—the land- then why did king David speak of another rest- still to come’- Then the writer of Hebrews [probably Paul the apostle] will take an obscure passage from the Psalms [95] and say ‘see- David spoke by the Holy Spirit- saying there was still a day to come’.

It’s very interesting to see how Paul [it’s easier for me to just take Paul as the author] interprets all these promises in a sort of spiritual way- finding fulfillment in Christ- and the kingdom of God- he even sees the ‘land promise’ as finding fulfillment in the Sabbath rest of God- which he also ‘spiritualizes’ by taking the creation story- and the passage that says ‘God rested on the 7th day’- he says ‘there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God’.

Now- I wrote an entire commentary on Hebrews on the blog- and I don’t want to do it again here.

There are many passages in the book of Hebrews that divide Christians over one of the many debates [which I think are silly- to be honest] that rages in the church.

These Hebrew passages which divide us are usually because we read in Hebrews things like ‘those who had the Spirit- if they fall away- they can’t be brought back to repentance’.

I believe if we understand that what Paul is primarily doing is appealing to his Jewish brothers- saying ‘look- God blessed you/us in a unique way- the Jewish people- but we must now move on in the revelation of God- as revealed thru the Messiah- and if we want the true REST of God- then we find it in Christ’ [see- I’m re-teaching it- The Jews did indeed ‘have the Spirit’ in the Old Covenant- in a way no other nation had. The Spirit of God anointed their Kings/Priests/Prophets- and in a sense ‘to fall away’ can be taken as them not ‘continuing in the revelation of God’ meaning believing Jesus was indeed the Christ- the one their prophets spoke about- see? Ok- Like I said- let’s not re-do the commentary- That’s why in the following verses he says ‘your fore-fathers didn’t enter in because of UNBELIEF’- He’s actually teaching- yeah- Justification BY FAITH here- telling them if they stay in the Law System- with the sacrifices- and the Levitical priesthood- which is based on works- not faith- then they too [1st century Jewish brothers] will fail to ‘ENTER INTO REST’ just like unbelief kept their fathers out- see?

So- even the very famous land promise [the promised land] is seen as the New Covenant of Christ- and the Kingdom of God- I could go on- but won’t.

Hebrews 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice,
Hebrews 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Hebrews 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Hebrews 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Hebrews 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. [This is the obscure reference- where the writer says ‘see- David wrote this verse- by the Holy Spirit- many years after Joshua took them into the promised land- so- God must have been speaking of another day of rest [or promised land] that was to come some day-and sure enough- it has come! It’s this great work of Christ and the kingdom/ church today’- I mean if we- the people of God can ‘see’ these things- it would revolutionize how we see ourselves- and our role in the world today].
Hebrews 3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
Hebrews 3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
Hebrews 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. [once again- the writer takes the scripture that says ‘God rested on the 7th day’ and spiritually applies it- saying ‘there is a Rest’ [or covenant of grace- not law- works- which would be the other 6 days of creation- where God ‘worked’- law] but now- after the work/law period- the 7th day has come’! I mean if we can grasp these truths- and read the bible with ‘understanding’ then it would make a big difference- for sure.
Hebrews 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Hebrews 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Hebrews 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Hebrews 4:8 For if  Joshua had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Hebrews 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. [This is where some confusion- and fighting- among Christians takes place- because in Hebrews we do read ‘the people of God’ ‘those who have received the Spirit’- in context- when the writer says- here ‘the people of God’ I believe it is a Jewish reference- and Paul is saying ‘see-there is still a Rest promise to God’s people’ trying to persuade his Jewish brothers to enter into belief in Christ as the Messiah- then they would rest from the works of the law- see?]
Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
Hebrews 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
James 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Psalm 95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Psalm 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Psalm 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Psalm 95:4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
Psalm 95:5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
Psalm 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
Psalm 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Psalm 95:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
Psalm 95:10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
Psalm 95:11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

NOTE- As I post this- on Thanksgiving day- I want to bless you guys- have a great thanksgiving- we have much to be thankful for- so- I don’t want to ruin it by getting into some of the stuff I plan on indeed dealing with down the road.

But- I mentioned the Ferguson Mo. Situation- the shooting of Mike Brown- and the non- indictment of the cop.

As you know- the media- both left and right- just can’t deal- justly- with these things- because frankly- these guys are not really ‘media’ in the sense of non- biased reporting.

But- I have been on the streets for many years- and know gang members- addicts- the whole scene.

These guys are my friends- and because of this unique situation- I know- for a fact- that some of the local cops are indeed ‘dirty’.

Now- I have dealt with this in the past- and the main reason I didn’t report lots of this- is because these stories came to me as being ‘one of the group’- that is they were told to me by my friends.

Judges who buy drugs from the local dealers [one] - a cop who gets guys to do ‘sexual favors’ for them [yes- guys].

These things are regularly reported to me- over 25 years.
So- trust me- things are not always as they appear.

Now- when you know this stuff- and you see a media personality seem to take one side or the other- to me- they don’t ‘know’ what is really going on.

So- I hope to get into this down the road- and yes- this is something the church does have a role to play- but for now- enjoy your day.

-See, now you got me started.

Many years ago at the Fire Dept. - we used to read the old call logs [books that logged the runs we went to].
Now- these were old- from back in ‘the day’- but- they recorded stuff like ‘we had a call from some NIGGERS- and went to... .’.

Ok- did the cops have the same stuff?

Probably.

I say this to show you- many Black people have a right to distrust cops- and if you have a background knowledge of some of the stuff that goes on- then you can see it’s not always ‘paranoia’ on the part of the Black community.
They have a history- of well- being killed- for stuff like selling cigarettes in NY- or being shot because the White cop said ‘get your license’ and the Black guy- tries to get it- and is shot- on video.

Or walking down the stairs- and it’s dark- so the cop murders you [yes- that’s murder- in cold blood- and regardless of ‘the law’ it requires judgment according to God’s law].

Now- are all Cops bad?

No- but more than you think- trust me.
I am not a big fan of Al Sharpton- but I saw his speech last night- how he said the prosecutors- and the grand jury- how at times these guys all work together- and the biases [even the ones they don’t realize] do effect the process.

I have not followed the Michael Brown case- or to be honest- much media.

But I saw Bill OReilly defending the ‘forensic evidence’ one night- that if the forensic evidence proved the cop was innocent- then it’s a closed case.

He was referring to the fact that they found blood in the cop car.

The 2 Black guys trying to give the other view- said its how you interpret it.

So- if a Black kid got into a struggle- and there was blood in the car- the cop would be pissed off.

It is possible that as the kid ran- if he did stick his hands up and said ‘don’t shoot’ then it would be murder.

Now- I’m not saying that’s what happened- I don’t know- but it showed me that because of a history of police abuse [and trust me- I know- I just gave you the old call logs where we referred- often- to THE NIGGERS].

Then it causes distrust- and the Black community has this distrust- in my view- rightfully.

DAVID/JESUS- AND HIS MEN.
http://wp.me/a4V5qQ-8k Teaching the boys by the Lexington

http://wp.me/a4V5qQ-8m Plus- we have music for this one!

http://wp.me/a4V5qQ-89 another radio show from days gone by [I broadcast these- and Many others- on KCTA RADIO for about 20 years- hope you get stuff from them]

Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

Matthew 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
Matthew 12:3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
Matthew 12:4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
Matthew 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Matthew 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Matthew 12:7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Ok- This week was another spur of the moment video- was with some of the crew at the mission- and said ‘you guys want to do a quick teaching by the Lexington’- and off we went.

Part of the reason I want to at least do one video with all of our ‘former’ home groups- is so people that saw all the pic's/posts this past year [I posted lots of our meetings] can get a feel of how we did it.

Plus of course I plan on making a video- doing a post each week.
I will not always write a full post for these because I have taught most of these subjects- and already wrote the posts- over the years.

But- for a short re-cap- I talked a bit about Jesus as the fulfillment of the promises of God made to King David.
In the video I quoted the story were Jesus was defending himself and his men against the accusation that they ‘picked corn on the Sabbath’.

I always liked this story- because Jesus – as he often did- quotes the Old Testament scriptures back to the religious leaders [who were so legalistic that they couldn’t see that all their devotion to the ‘bible’ was actually obscuring their ability to see Christ!].

He does this often in the Gospels.

So- he replies ‘have you never read what David and his men did..’ [Watch the video for the rest].

Good stuff- Jesus is our King and High Priest- and he has made us a nation of priests- yeah- go ahead- pick the corn- even on the Sabbath.

Next post/video I’ll try and talk about this a bit more- but the Sabbath was a type of the Day of Rest/grace- which is now fulfilled in all of us who believe.

Because we are in this Rest- we have ceased from our own works [trying to please God thru our efforts- the law- man’s systems] and we are free in Him.

This theme runs all thru out the bible- and we keep catching glimpses of it-  The apostle Paul would say things like who can comprehend these things- our minds are so finite-

If we excel in LOVE- that’s the closest we will ever get to truly seeing these deep truths.

We can not fully grasp them with human wisdom.

Oh- on the way to shoot this video- we stopped at Rock City Church- they have a clothing thing for the homeless.

So- I browsed- picked up a nice plaque- it said ‘wisdom comes from the journey- not the destination’.

So- I said ‘cool’ and quoted a verse I use often in prayer ‘WISDOM BUILDS THE HOUSE- UNDERSTANDING ESTABLISHES IT- AND THRU KNOWLEDGE ITS CHAMBERS ARE FILLED WITH ALL PLEASANT AND PRECIOUS RICHES’ [I actually have this verse- along with about 20 others- painted on a board in my yard- it fell down a while back- I nailed it back up the other day].
A few people heard- and I repeated it.

Now- I’m going longer right now than I thought.
I also pray early in my yard in the mornings- I have a makeshift baseball diamond that I stand in- its cool- you’re up early- in this ‘field of dreams’.

So- in the service at Rock city church the pastor mentions the verse- how it’s a key verse to him.

I was quoting it a day or 2 before on the church property- then he says ‘I had a dream last night- about a baseball field in a back yard’.

Yeah- I was in ‘that field’ a few hours earlier- ‘building the house’.

Isaiah 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

1Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Corinthians 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Corinthians 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1Corinthians 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
1Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1Corinthians 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1Corinthians 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1Corinthians 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1Corinthians 10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
1Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
1Corinthians 10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
1Corinthians 10:18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
1Corinthians 10:19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
1Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
1Corinthians 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
1Corinthians 10:22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
1Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Isaiah 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
Isaiah 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
Isaiah 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Isaiah 46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
Isaiah 47:8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
Isaiah 47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
Isaiah 47:10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
Isaiah 47:12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
Isaiah 47:13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
Isaiah 47:14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

Over the years out of all the sections of scripture that have been the most significant- I would say Isaiah- chapters 49 thru the end have probably ‘spoken’ to me more than any other section.

Most of the times I never focused on these few that I copied here- but the last time I read this section- God really spoke to me about the danger of man’s wisdom- and the lack of the fear of God that we see- not only in ‘the world’ but especially among the people of God.

Though these above verses are not in keeping with the video of the week- Yet if I were to say ‘what is the word’ for the week, this would be it.

God is challenging Christians to SEE that his word takes precedence over all the systems of men- no matter how well meaning these systems are.

God often calls his people to ‘come out of Babylon’ meaning we need to renew our minds to his word.

What we often do- is we seek the wisdom of men to justify our actions.

When we do this – it is an affront to God-

The bible says God is ‘jealous’ over his people.

So- for this week- read these verses- see the ways you might have unconsciously rejected the counsel of God and replaced it with the ‘wisdom of the world’.

It’s a process- note how God tells us that his word- council- is supreme- and the other things we seek after [magic arts- etc.] are false replacements for the true wisdom of God.

Note- as I typed ‘These verses have nothing to do with this week’s video’- I had a funny feeling- like maybe they do?
I checked the post before ‘posting’ it.
Sure enough- I was wrong.
In the above verses from Mathew’s gospel- Jesus says ‘they ate the showbread’- that sustained them.

I mentioned the MANNA in this week’s video ‘bread from heaven’- In revelation 2 it speaks of the HIDDEN MANNA- wisdom of God in Christ.

Sure enough- this does indeed apply [you figure it out].

Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Revelation 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
