NEW [verses below]
I made the Jimmy D video the other day- and the others on Friday [6-2-17]. I figured I stick them all together here.
I simply like for you to hear from my friends.

I told the story Jimmy shared the other day on one of my teaching videos- and then ran into him again.
So you get to hear it from him as well.

If there was a theme for this post- it would fit with the verse I posted at the top-
Zechariah 12:5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

The day I type- I’m helping Crow- and still might meet up with him later.
He wants to buy a truck- and I’m charging the battery for him at the house.
That's when we made the last video [he’s at Wal Mart now].

But the theme is we- leaders- friends- people- derive our strength when we are actually with the people.

The teaching aspect of ministry- the studying and writing- sure- that's a part.
But I was telling Crow earlier- if all I did was study- teach- write- I would be miserable.

But when you or I interact- then yes ‘the inhabitants shall be your Strength in the Lord’.
The whole concept of community- and the church as a community- all themes I have hit on recently.

I still haven't reviewed the videos [as of this writing] but after I do- I’ll add the key verses below.
I told the story of Albert- I actually wanted to not tell it.

Because some people don’t like me telling the stories.
But I did anyway.

I was with him at the park the other day- and went to the store right before going to the park.
He missed the lunch [Timons] and was going to possibly eat at Brother Rey’s that night [Church without Walls].

The food I had in the car still had to be cooked.
But I asked him ‘Albert- before I leave- you want me to cut you a piece of the Pecan Pie I have in the car’.

Boy- did that make him happy.
I thought later- the situation Albert is in- homeless and on the streets.
And yes- Albert works.

I don’t think I would be able to ‘rejoice’ over a piece of pie.
Yet as simple as it was- he was happy.
Yeah- I learn lessons from my friends- all the time.

VERSES-

Matthew 26:31

Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
Fear thou notfor I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Zechariah 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Zechariah 12:4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

Zechariah 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
Zechariah 12:8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zechariah 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
Zechariah 12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
