2 WITNESSES
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.  Rom. 2:29

NEW- As we talk about God’s Word made flesh [incarnation] we also see how we- the people of God- are also a type of God incarnate in the earth.
Meaning- we are the Body of Christ- and the Spirit lives in us.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

In revelation chapter 11 we see these 2 prophets- they proclaim the Word of God- they suffer- die- and are raised again after 3 and a half days.
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Revelation 11:11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
After they are raised they ascend into heaven.
Revelation 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
The New Testament teaches us that we- as followers of Christ- have been joined to his death- burial- and resurrection.
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
We proclaim Gods word in the earth- we identify with Jesus’ death- we walk in newness of life [raised] and we also ascend the ‘hill of the Lord’.
Meaning we have access- and enter into- the heavenly realms by the Spirit.
John- the revelator- was told to ‘come up’.
Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Paul the apostle teaches us that we too have ascended [now] with Christ and are seated with him in the heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Jesus- in this book [revelation] says he shares his throne- with us!
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne

The prophets in revelation 11 preach in 'sackcloth’ for a determined period of time.
Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
The fact that they are in difficulty- and what seems to be a continual mode of repentance and brokenness- gives authority to the words the are speaking.
If you read of the ministry of John the Baptist- he seems to have been on this continual crusade- you don’t get the 'feeling’ that he was some mild mannered Pastor- going around and praying for the down and out.
But that was his calling- to be a radical prophet wearing camel’s skin- and eating locusts and honey!
And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

The witnesses in revelation 11- after they are raised- restored- those who heard their words were affected.
and great fear fell upon them which saw them.-Rev.11:11
The bible says ‘fire proceeded out of their mouths and killed their enemies’.
Revelation 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
People were afraid when they saw them speak.
God’s Word has power- we live in a day where nations seek to silence those who ‘speak’.
Whether it be those who ‘leak’ emails- that show corruption in nations- or those who protest the building of a pipeline on sacred grounds.
People with no army- no state sponsorship- yet joined together for a common cause- have tremendous power.
Their voices are heard.
And those who are being exposed thru their words- well- it’s like 'fire coming out of their mouths’- and in ‘this manner’ they are judged.
Jesus truly was the greatest prophet of all- he indeed spoke truth to power.
He stood at the court of Pilate- with the threat of death- and told him that he had no power over him- only what God gave him.
At this time of the year- when we celebrate God among us- thru the remembering of the birth of Christ-
We need to remember that God is still among the people of the earth- he still cares for the outcast- the alien- the refugee.
We as the church have power- we have a voice- it comes in power when we too embrace the Cross.
The witnesses were killed- mocked- but stood upon their feet after 3 days in the grave- and ‘ascend’ into the presence of God.
That’s what scared those who saw them- they were from another world -
John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
PAST POSTS [verses below]
I quote from these bible books on today’s video- below are my studies-
NOTE- The proclamation of John ‘Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world’- In Latin the term is Agnus Dei- as a boy we sung this hymn in Catholic church ‘Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world- have mercy on us’.
[Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.- this is the full phrase in the Latin – taken from John’s declaration- where the Christian song/chant comes from]

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Lk 24:44

Note- Please do me a favor, those who read/like the posts- re-post them on other sites as well as the site you read them on. I deal with issues at times that it would be beneficial for some of you to download and save the file from the Word Press link. This creates a permanent record. The on-line videos are only good if sites are not hacked- which has happened in the past. Thanks- John.#
