GO AHEAD- KILL ME- I DARE YOU

http://wp.me/a4V5qQ-7I Radio show 627

Posted this about 2 days late- I have been sick- but wanted to get this up before the week was out- enjoy.

In today’s video- shot about an hour ago, you’ll see a kid walk up.

He heard me teaching- and wanted to talk.
I had a good talk with Santiago- spent about an hour with him- doing ‘ministry’- I’ll probably be on the streets today anyway- working with some guys.

Santiago was interested- he told me he just turned 18- and finished with probation- he wants to stop smoking pot- that’s his hindrance.

I told him that when I was in AA/NA- to my surprise- some of the people in the meetings were there for Pot.
I see that it is an addiction- more than I realized.

I told him I was in AA for a while- but am no longer with them.

I explained the simple gospel to Santiago- told him to start with reading the gospel of John- just a chapter a day.

I explained how we get free from addiction- as a gift.

Jesus took those sins into himself on the Cross- and died with them in him.

I advised him to find a good church- start reading the bible- and have a purpose for life.

He told me his dad used to be a heroin addict and is now clean for 5 years- doing well.

I told him I have worked with many guys- like his dad- for many years- and yes- it is possible.

So- I hope to post this post soon- as soon as the video uploads- God bless [after this- I did some more street outreach- few more stories at the bottom for those who are interested].

 Ok- in our line of teaching we have come to the time of the appearing of Christ on the scene.

All Israel were waiting for a promised Messiah- and the events surrounding the birth of Christ pointed to him- he was born in the place the prophets spoke about.

The wise men saw his star [a sign- even among the other religions- that a great leader was to arise].

Word was out- that a new king was on the way.

Now- King Herod got word- and attempted to kill the child before he could enter into his purpose.

We read various accounts of this attempt- even the Apostle John spoke about it in his Revelation [Dragon trying to devour the child as soon as he was born].

Why?

John’s prophetic book was penned at a time where the fledging church would continue to face severe persecution under the corrupt government of his day.

And the initial attack- by the authorities- to snuff out the Christ- continued for the first 3 centuries of the modern era against his followers.

Various emperors- who were famous for sexual sin [Caligula] did kill the early followers of Christ.

In the book of Revelation we read symbols- how when government becomes wicked- they still have the tools to make edicts- that normally would be considered wicked.

When I wrote about abortion- and make no mistake about it- the dismembering of many thousands of children in the womb that takes place – legally- every day- in this country- is an ‘edict’ that under righteous rule would never happen.

There are many countries- who justly consider this murder [as the bible also says].

Yet- how could our country do it- and we as a people become desensitized?

Because government has power- and if government is corrupt- then it also has power to allow for corrupt things.

Jesus made a strange statement once- he said ‘if these things can happen in a Green Tree- just think what will happen when it’s dry’.

What he was saying was there was a manipulation of the system- that was used to crucify him- yet- there was indeed some form of Government at the time [Roman Rule].

So- the initial attempt of Herod to kill the promised child- by murdering many innocent babies- was carried out because a wicked leader had authority given to him.

The same attempt was made at the time of  Moses- Pharaoh would kill many innocent babies- Moses survived- and was indeed a promised deliverer- like Christ.

Jesus proved himself to be the Christ by many signs and wonders [John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name].

And when he challenged the corrupt system of his day- he said ‘destroy this temple- and in 3 days I will raise it up’ [Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up .]

He spoke of his death- and notice something here- he himself said ‘destroy this temple’ speaking of his body.

There was a violent aspect to Jesus and his men- he basically was saying ‘Go ahead- kill me- I’ll be back’.

Now- he taught his men to not fear death- in order to carry out the mission they could not be afraid to die.

He gives many clear instructions about this  Death- and those seeking to kill him- and his men- death was a reality for the mission they were on.[ Fear them not therefore: for there is nothingcovered , that shall not be revealed ; and hid, that shall not be known . 27 What I tell you indarkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him whichis able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ]. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death . Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to puthim to death ; After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death . And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death . Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death .

Make no mistake about it- these early followers were radical- though Jesus instructed them not to take up the sword- yet they were not afraid of the one wielded by a corrupt regime.

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. 11 And Herod with hismen of war set him at nought , and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and senthim again to Pilate. 12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together : forbefore they were at enmity between themselves. 13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man untome, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold , I, having examined him before you, havefound no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: 15 No, nor yet Herod: forI sent you to him; and, lo , nothing worthy of death is done unto him. 16 I will therefore chastisehim, and release him. 17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.) 18 Andthey cried out all at once, saying , Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: 19 (Whofor a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.) 20 Pilate therefore,willing to release Jesus, spake again to them . 21 But they cried , saying , Crucify him, crucify him.22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done ? I have found no cause ofdeath in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go . 23 And they were instant with loudvoices, requiring that he might be crucified . And the voices of them and of the chief priestsprevailed . 24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. 25 And he releasedunto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired ; but hedelivered Jesus to their will. 26 And as they led him away , they laid hold upon one Simon, aCyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it afterJesus. 27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailedand lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said , Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not forme, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold , the days are coming , in thewhich they shall say , Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare , and the papswhich never gave suck . 30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to thehills, Cover us. 31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold , therecame wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying , Where is he that is born King of the Jews?for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3 When Herod the king hadheard these things, he was troubled , and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered allthe chief priests and scribes of the people together , he demanded of them where Christ should be born . 5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 6And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out ofthee shall come a Governor , that shall rule my people Israel. 7 Then Herod, when he had privilycalled the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared . 8 And he sent themto Bethlehem, and said , Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have foundhim, bring me word again , that I may come and worship him also. 9 When they had heard theking, they departed ; and, lo , the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it cameand stood over where the young child was . 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced withexceeding great joy. 11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child withMary his mother, and fell down , and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures,they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 12 And being warned of God ina dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.13 And when they were departed , behold , the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in adream, saying , Arise , and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thouthere until I bring thee word : for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 14 When hearose , he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 15 And wasthere until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by theprophet, saying , Out of Egypt have I called my son. 16 Then Herod, when he saw that he wasmocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth , and sent forth , and slew all the children that werein Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the timewhich he had diligently enquired of the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken byJeremy the prophet, saying
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moonunder her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried , travailing in birth , and pained to be delivered . 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven;and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon hisheads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered , for to devour her childas soon as it was born . 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with arod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled intothe wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there athousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and hisangels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not;neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out , that oldserpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into theearth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Nowis come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for theaccuser of our brethren is cast down , which accused them before our God day and night. 11 Andthey overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they lovednot their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice , ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woeto the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having greatwrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death.

 For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due. 28 And even as they refused to have God in [their] knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful: 32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Romans 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Romans 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death.
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders-

Some notes on Caligula-
Philo of Alexandria and Seneca the Younger describe Caligula as an insane emperor who was self-absorbed, angry, killed on a whim, and indulged in too much spending and sex.[97] He is accused of sleeping with other men's wives and bragging about it,[98] killing for mere amusement,[99] deliberately wasting money on his bridge, causing starvation,[100] and wanting a statue of himself erected in the Temple of Jerusalem for his worship.[94] Once, at some games at which he was presiding, he ordered his guards to throw an entire section of the crowd into the arena during intermission to be eaten by animals because there were no criminals to be prosecuted and he was bored.[101][clarification needed]
While repeating the earlier stories, the later sources of Suetonius and Cassius Dio provide additional tales of insanity. They accuse Caligula of incest with his sisters, Agrippina the Younger, Drusilla, and Livilla, and say he prostituted them to other men.[102] They state he sent troops on illogical military exercises,[69][103] turned the palace into a brothel,[46] and, most famously, planned or promised to make his horse, Incitatus, a consul,[104] and actually appointed him a priest.[78]
The validity of these accounts is debatable. In Roman political culture, insanity and sexual perversity were often presented hand-in-hand with poor government.[105]

1Timothy 6:1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
1Timothy 6:2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
1Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1Timothy 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1Timothy 6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
1Timothy 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Timothy 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Timothy 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
1Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
1Timothy 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
1Timothy 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
1Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1Timothy 6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

Few more- I spent some time today at another mission- [actually talking to an old friend right now- at Burger King].

I was trying to stay ‘undercover’ not telling the guys I do ministry- retired firefighter- but unfortunately I look too much like an undercover cop- so I spilled the beans on myself.

Had too- so the new crew would know.

I talked to Charlie for a little while- he’s had a life like lots of my street friends.

He sat down at my table- did a prayer before he ate- so I sparked up a talk.

He told me that many of the guys in prison read the bible- make promises to God- but it’s just ‘jail house’ religion.
I shared the stories of my good friends over the years- many of my buddies in prison I wrote- their families were part of the little church I pastored in Kingsville.

There were some who did indeed make it- I’m thankful for that.

As I talked- I heard someone say ‘hey John’- it was Josh- another street guy who was in my meetings.

I’m glad he saw me- today was about the 3rd time at this new area- and I think the guys who thought I might have been a cop saw today that I was for real.

It always takes time for the guys to accept you- I’m used to the process-
.

I got a call from one of my boys- Cameron- while sitting at this new spot- and met him and Austin at Burger King.

That’s the 2nd video for the week- so- all in all today was a good ministry day- it benefits me to interact with the guys- I’ve been spending more time than ever ‘by myself’- working on the posts- videos.

That’s just a part- and over time- a small part.

It’s the interaction that I can’t stay away from- yeah- in a way ‘I relapsed’- meaning I’m back ‘on the streets’.
