For the word of God is quick , and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
[ I want to make a note here- for those who have followed my posts/videos about my dealings with Police issues in C.C.- Chief Simpson died in May- 2015. It was a shock to the city- and many good words were spoken about him. I believe the chief was a good man- I posted the newspaper clipping on my prayer wall- and will pray for his wife and 4 kids that he left behind- may God bless them all].

This is gonna be a tough one to write-
But I feel I need to.
Why did I post the Psalms these past few days?
About 3 years ago- I noticed a strange thing- as I read one Psalm every morning- just about 90 % of the time- it was prophetic.
Meaning- it spoke to some issue that would later transpire that day- or in the near future.
Now- for some of you- just reading the Psalms I posted- might have been offensive- it was for me too- when I read them- in a 3-4 year ‘line of succession’ this past month.
Now- I want to be careful- respectful- and tactful here.
During this ongoing experience of reading the Psalms this way- whenever I come across an ‘imprecatory Psalm’ [these are the Psalms where King David prays for God to ‘get’ his enemies].
I actually say- while reading it ‘God- I want you to know- I would not be praying this- or wishing it- on anyone- but in keeping with this prayer/reading aloud of the Psalms- I’ll read it thru’.
I have said this multiple times- over the past 3-4 years.
Why?
Because it’s scary- to be honest.
Now- the Psalms I posted this week- were the ones I ‘came across’ in this 3-4 year daily pattern- I DID NOT PICK THEM OUT!
On May 2nd- or 3rd- I got up at the ranch-very early- I even think I made a video and talked about how Jesus gives us a kingdom- like God has given him.
And explained it meant we have authority thru our words/prayers-
I’ve known this for a while. So-that morning I read Psalms 109- and it was indeed rough to read- I do feel Leary when I read them- aloud- because whether or not IM PRAYING IT- I DO IT OUT OF OBEDIENCE- ESPECIALLY ONE  like that!
As I left the ranch- I looked right- and saw a Full Red Moon [some describe it as THE BLOOD MOON]
In scripture this denotes a judgment time.
I felt Leary for sure.
Later that night [or the next day? But I think it was that night].
A GOOD CHRISTIAN MAN died.
All I can say is this rocked me- I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS- and I’m not saying it happened because of this- but it rocked me never the less.
So- I posted the Psalms- so as you read them each day- and maybe thought ‘he’s off the wall’- I wanted you to see why I posted them.
Now- I have seen things in God’s kingdom that I don’t always understand- and God is not about ‘getting our enemies’ [this man was not my enemy by the way- none of them are- God’s kingdom is about justice and mercy- and he does things on both sides of this scale].
‘John- aren’t you afraid something could happen to you’ [meaning- you might die too].
Let me say- something might- and it’s not because of anything in particular.
I finally got accepted with the VA insurance- which I have been trying to do for 8 years!
Some of my friends are aware of known medical problems- actual physical stuff- and they have said ‘why don’t you get treatment’?
I never had the insurance- that’s why.
Now- I’m Leary about doing the lab work/blood work- which will be on my birthday- July 17.
And yes- It’s possible that there might be more than one thing- and I am going to tell the doc ‘I don’t want to be checked for anything  else- but just one thing’.
At least that's the way I’m feeling now.
So- I am not saying FOR SURE that things happened because I read/prayed the Psalms-
But I will tell you that things have indeed happened- thru this reading/praying of the Psalms in this way- and when I come across the ‘tough Psalms’- I read them- even with the ‘get them’ language- but it’s ‘NOT ME PRAYING IT’ so to speak- it’s more like me reading/praying it- out of obedience in keeping with the way I have been reading them for the past 3-4 years.
None of us are better than anyone else- and God does not ‘get your enemies’- but in God’s kingdom- sometimes even very good people die- for things that we don’t fully understand at the time-
Jesus being one of them.
Note- I also found it interesting that I just taught from Psalms 110- Melchisedek- I think I made a video that morning from Psalms 110-
Yet this 3-4 year pattern of reading the Psalms- just happened to bring me to these psalms at the same time.
2nd note- when I went to the VA about 5-6 years ago- at first they/I thought I was accepted- and I did see a lady doctor at the time.
They do ask if you have anything- and I told her I did at the time- but was ‘treating’ it- well- thru vitamins [no joke- I went on line- and did the best I could do].
I also turned down doing the lab/blood work- because I said ‘I’d rather not know if there is anything else’.
Now- she said some people are like that- and I’m one of them.
This time I’ll do the lab work- so- I’m going a bit further-
But- yes- all of our lives are short- whether we ‘have something’ or not- and I know this post is a tough one- I’m just telling you the way it happened- and I’m not saying things happened for sure- because of this- but I wanted you to follow the journey- and this is the best I could do.
3rd note- see- now I have to keep explaining stuff- because people seem to think I lie.
‘John- you’re a retired firefighter- don’t you have insurance’?
Every state- and city- are different.
My dad has full benefits- he retired as a Captain from New Jersey.
He also never paid into Social Security- I did.
When I retired- our contract did not have a good clause for health insurance- I could have kept my family on [which was my primary concern] with cobra- for about 7- 8 hundred a month.
Just too much at the time- so I lost my health coverage.
Now- I took about 40 thousand out of my retirement to pay off my house- that dropped my income from my lifetime check- which I get till this day.
So- I make ‘too much’ to use the ‘indigent’ system- or get Medicaid.
Yet not enough- even under Obama Care- to get insurance-
So- hope that explains it.
4th note-
‘Then why did you retire’?
Good question.
My last year at the Fire Dept. - my back was bad.
I had an old work injury [common for Fire Fighters] and had a bad disk for years.
One day I got up to go to work- and my wife said ‘you can’t go like that!’
It was so bad during that year- that yes- I would fall down- 2 or 3 times in the morning- before I could go. Once you start moving it warms up- and off you go [usually].
But one morning my leg went numb- the pain was unbearable- and I went to the E.R. - in 2007 [just got the old record the other day].
Now- lots of guys fake stuff- yes- even Fire Fighters- but- they did a cat scan over  time- and even a nerve test to the right leg- and the doctor who gave me the test was surprised that there was indeed nerve damage to the leg [the foot is numb till this day- every now and then the right leg goes out- it’s like a cramp- but 10 times worse- you have to ‘go down’ when it happens- last time was about 2 months ago].
So- I could have dragged out the whole Workman’s Comp thing for years- which lots of the Fire Fighters do- but to the cities surprise- I had my 25 years in- and just retried.
Now- they waited about 7 months before they sent me my certificate of appreciation-
Why?
The normal routine is- well- you get a standard settlement if it’s work related-
I wanted none of that- took my 25- and left.

One last attempt at trying to digest some of this-
Sometimes- in the purposes of God- there are ‘redemptive deaths’-
Meaning they are not caused by any fault of the person who died.
Also- there are ‘prophetic acts/seasons’-
Meaning God deals with whole nations at times- about specific issues-
So-when these 2 are happening at the same time- God can ‘allow’ a good man- to possibly ‘pay the penalty’ for his own men-
Not in a vindictive way- or just in a local way- but at a certain Kairos time- a set season where God’s purposes are being played out on a much grander scale then you or me-
Now- The reason I posted all 3 [or 4- not sure yet] of these Psalms- in a row- is because I just read them this past week that way- some before certain events transpired[ some on the same day].
And you will notice- in the ‘more gentle’ ones- that in context they are saying ‘all of God’s works are wonderful- and we don’t always understand them at the time- nor should we question them’-
That’s the context you see in these-
When you read stuff like that- right after the ‘judgment ’psalms- that's what it's talking about-
It’s saying none of us see the whole picture- so we should not question God.
Note- context-
These types of things are not about particular incidents that happen to me- or anyone else-
Sometimes an incident can cause a person to take on a cause- a much broader cause then the incident itself.
At those times you are now engaging in a cause- that exceeds the local stuff.
These prayers by King David were about things he went thru- but David was a prophet- and these prophetic prayers go beyond local issues-
They ‘reach out’ if you will.
I recently finished reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church [not an easy task- it’s huge].
I found it interesting that near the end- on a section about prayer- they teach this.
The church teaches that the Psalms are the prayer book of the bible- they said it in a way that I actually have been experiencing these past 3 years.
When I say I’m reading them along a line- I mean I started from Psalms one- a few years ago- and just go right thru all year long- one a day [some days I miss- but when I pick up the next day- it still ‘works’].
Now- I have read the whole bible- I guess- hundreds of times over the years [no lie- the New Testament maybe more].
But I started this Psalm pattern a few years back-
That’s why I see significance- I’m not picking Psalms 109- for a reason-
No- the last time it came up- in this pattern- was a year or 2 ago.
It works that way with all of them- when you read one a day.
That’s why it’s significant when stuff happens- along those lines.
Because these psalms are indeed the prayer book for the church.

I add this Psalm below [82]- though it was not read in the order I mentioned above.
But a few months back- I did write the last verse on my note/wall- where I post verses I feel are significant.
The last verse I have ‘prayed’ [more like a shout] out loud- every now and then-
The morning when I read Psalms 109- and saw the red moon- I did pray this verse aloud.
What I want you to see in this post is that God rules in the affairs of men.
HE DOES NOT TAKE SIDES! He does what is right and just- for all in his court.
I wrote much about this these past few years.
And in my mind- it’s a dangerous thing to go looking for these verses- with someone in mind [like you want God to get them].
The verse below was written on a tile in my yard about 2-3 years ago.
Actually I have ‘my own’ version [I often combine a few verses- sometimes not even knowing it].
The one in my yard says ‘I WILL FINISH THE WORK AND CUT IT SHORT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS- FOR THE LORD WILL MAKE A FULL  END- EVEN DETERMINED IN THE MIDST OF ALL THE PEOPLE’.
Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
Psalm 82:2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Psalm 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psalm 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Psalm 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psalm 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Romans 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

Don’t misunderstand this post-
‘John- what are you saying?’
I’m not ‘saying’ anything- I’m just showing you what happened.

There’s much more to speak about- many verses- and yes signs- that would be too hard to share with you.
Lots of it had to do with periods of waiting- angels ‘showing up’ things we read about in the prophetic books [Daniel- etc.]
To sum that aspect up- I would put it like this.
I sensed there would be about a 3 and a half year period before things would come to pass- in many areas.
This past month- it hit the 3.5 period.
I also got a strong sense that ‘the watchers/angels have now come’.
16 Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah. Jeremiah 4:16
17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will , and setteth up over it the basest of men. Daniel.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand , and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard , and I am come for thy words. Daniel.

I won’t tell you this one- but when I ‘saw it’ it scared me.
I knew what it was.
In my teaching- as you know- I rarely teach this type of stuff- I’m trying to teach you historic- well grounded Christianity.
And those of you who have read my stuff- know that I am not a ‘charismatic’ flashy- TV evangelist type- at all.
But I do have experiences- and this was indeed one.
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass ; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write ; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write ; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth , and no man shutteth ; and shutteth , and no man openeth ;
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.  And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
1 And the fifth angel sounded , and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound , the mystery of God should be finished , as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood , saying , Rise , and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein .
5 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap : for the time is come for thee to reap ; for the harvest of the earth is ripe .
And I heard the angel of the waters say , Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art , and wast , and shalt be , because thou hast judged thus.
Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Revelation 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
Revelation 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Revelation 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing : as I hear , I judge : and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
John 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
@
MONDAY- As I get ready to post this today or tomorrow-
I’m mad right now.
The death of the chief was indeed a sad event- and whether or not you think what I mentioned above was God’s dealings with men-
Yet- our city mourned- full coverage all week long- shock- dismay-
Once again- I in no way demean the mourning-
A few weeks ago I gave you 2 cases of Black men on death row- for 30 years- wrongfully.
Both were later exonerated and let out.
In one case- the documentary said that even after the prosecutors had proof the man was innocent- yet out of spite- they still pursued him- and wanted to put the man to death.
Now- that's what you pastors should be shook up about- that’s injustice on a huge scale!
Yet some of you mourned in shock for a week- over the death of a good Christian man.
A death-  mind you- that will come to us all- in time.
I’m grateful that his family does not have to live with his death being a grave injustice-
Like if someone was drunk and hit him on the motorcycle-
From what I read in the papers it was a 16 year old kid driving a truck- and he swerved out of being tired-
Yes- still bad- but his vehicle did not run the chief over- the chief laid his bike down- his helmet came off at the time- and he went on to be with the Lord.
He died doing what he loved- riding his bike.
Thank God that his death was not caused by a crime-
Yet the ones that are [like the case mentioned above- if it went all the way]-
We barley have the time to even inform ourselves-
And the criminals in that case- were indeed the cops/prosecutors/ and all those who continued to pursue his death- after it was known that he was innocent-
WHERE’S THE RAGE AMONG YOU PASTORS!
Where’s the week’s long mourning- or even the one time mentioning of it form the pulpit!!
Those deaths are what’s called INJUSTICE- those are the ones that concern God more than anything else!
As you can see I’m mad- the cops in NY city- Staten Island- do you know they have been pursing/harassing the family [mom- women- etc.] of the kid who took the video of the murder of Eric Garner.
4 family members have since been arrested and put in jail-
Because the kid legally took a video- those cops drive by the family home in Staten Island- where many cops live- and shine the bright light from the cop car thru the window.
They put that family on alert- illegally mind you- that
We are watching you !
The cops in Baltimore illegally  arrested and picked up the kid there that took the video- held him at the police station- and finally let him go.
Don’t forget the cases where the cops lie about what happened in the various killings- until video surfaced and we all saw they lied.
In those cases- before the videos surfaced- remember- the internal investigations always exonerated the cops- until the video shows that they lied.
That’s injustice- those are deaths that you should be outraged about- those are deaths where the families not only mourn for the loss of a loved one- but the families are then harassed by the agency who killed their loved one- then lied about it.
These are injustices-
So- I will- and have already- prayed for the chiefs wife and kids [did today- by name].
When our city wide mourning stops- his wife and kids will live with the loss for life- and it is sad.
Just remember- when you have the death of a family member- and it was because of an illegal act of another- that adds a tremendous weight to the death.
The family of the 16 year old who caused Chief Simpsons death is broken- and saddened-
As well as the chiefs family- and his men.
God gives us wake up calls- he does not ‘take sides’ and ‘get your enemies’- no- he deals justly in the affairs of men.
And he wants justice for all.
What I wrote in this post is true- the experiences I had- all of it.
And at first I did not think I would mention any of this- but felt I was supposed to.
Now- if you read carefully- you can see [if you have an open mind] that the death of the chief was not in vain- it was redemptive- meaning he- in a sort of substitutionary way- gave his life for a higher cause.
If all I said is true [and I believe it is] then there is purpose in it-
Our country is in a very dangerous time-
I could talk more about why- but things are going to be shaken.
And all across the country these issues are being dealt with.
The chief’s death has in a way brought the community together- people are more sympathetic to the cause of GOOD COPS- and how many of them have to wrongfully deal with the effects of the bad ones.
Good has come from this- it was not in vain.
Jesus himself took a penalty- death- for others who deserved it- yet he was righteous- and took the place of others.
That’s the most noble death a person can die- that gives death meaning- Jesus said ‘no greater love has a man than this- that he should die for his friends’.
Amen.
