ISAIAH 42-
Isaiah 42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?

NEW- [Past posts- Verses below] I made this video ‘off the cuff’ on a Friday night [I might have said it was Saturday on the video]. I was reading at night- doing my nightly devotional reading.
As I read Isaiah 42- the last verse spoke about รก fire- a fire that comes from God-
Isaiah 42:25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
The day before I did one my my ‘roll outs’.

And the theme was the same.
I actually spoke about the baptism of fire- using the story from the garden of Eden-
New Living Translation
After sending them out, the LORD God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden. And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

How after man sinned- God put an angel with a ‘flaming sword’ to keep the garden [here's the link to that post- https://ccoutreach87.com/2017/05/19/thursday-5-18-17/ ].

Whats was interesting is I went to the park to see my friends- and asked if Claire and Crow had a ‘word from the Lord’.

Sure enough Claire brought up the story of the 3 Hebrews who were thrown into the fire- and how they came out alive.

It was actually the same theme I spoke about earlier in the day- of course Claire had no idea that I taught it on the earlier videos.

I’ll add the verses below- but what was interesting is to see how God confirms his word.

He uses anyone- even my homeless friends- to do it.
The baptism of fire is an important teaching in the bible- John the Baptist said- Luke 3:16
John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

And John the apostle saw it in a vision-
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Yes- the fire of the Spirit purges us- it is a baptism that Jesus said we all must go thru-
22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Paul himself talked about it- 1 Corinthians 10:2
And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
[Cloud= Spirit/fire baptism- Sea= water. Clouds are above- heavenly- see?]

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Remember when you are going thru the fire- it is a work of God-
Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

The fire has a lasting effect- after it falls on us- it effects others too-
The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God.
In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. Zech 12
