‘Behold, I shew you a mystery’
Paul the apostle-
I tried to piece together
a few of my recent studies- and review a bit from Revelation-
In short- scripture is a story about redemption- God made promises
to man- that he would get him ‘back to the garden’.
The place where he can have renewed fellowship with his
creator- and back to the ‘tree of life’ which was in the middle of the garden.
In revelation we see prophetic images of how this has taken
place.
John sees Jesus as the lamb who was slain- and he alone has
the right to take the book- and reveal what’s in it.
Revelation
5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the
tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose
the seven seals thereof.
Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne
and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had
been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of
God sent forth into all the earth.
Revelation 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand
of him that sat upon the throne.
John also sees elders sitting down- which is a position of
grace- meaning those who have rule in the kingdom are those who have ‘followed’
the lamb- who was crucified- raised from the dead- and is seated at the right
hand of God [seated- place of rest and rule in grace- law fulfilled]
Revelation
4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I
saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on
their heads crowns of gold.
The law is fulfilled- and grace has come.
In my study on Hebrews [link below] we saw how being seated
means you have left the law covenant- and are entered into the new covenant of
grace [rest- sitting- done with the works of the law].
So- the elders who rule [well] are those who have entered
into rest- grace- and like the psalmist says ‘sit thou at my right hand- until
I make thy enemies thy footstool’ ‘break them with a rod of iron’.
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies
thy footstool. Ps. 110
These are references to Jesus- and to us as well.
Because we also read that we will ‘break them with a rod of
iron’.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in
pieces like a potter's vessel. Ps. 2-
Jesus
26 And he
that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power
over the nations:
27 And he
shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be
broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Rev. 2- US.
Meaning the church has authority to enact social justice in
the world- and even kings will hear our voice [those in authority].
We read the promises that those who overcome will have the
right to 'eat from the tree in the middle of the garden’- they will have ‘a
White stone- on the stone a new name’.

Jesus has given us a ‘kingdom’- like the one his father gave
him.
Revelation
3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I
also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
I John, who also am your
brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ,
Huh?
Ok- he took the book- and opened it.
We- by the Spirit see the mysteries of the kingdom too- it
is ‘opened’.
9 But as it
is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the
heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God
hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things,
yea, the deep things of God.
Cor.
We speak the Word of God- not the wisdom of the world- and
the word brings righteousness and judgment.
6 Howbeit
we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world,
nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we
speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God
ordained before the world unto our glory: Cor.
In revelation the vison of the sword coming out of the mouth
of Jesus is his authority to judge the nations by his word.
Rev
1:16
And
he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was
as the sun shineth in his strength.
And
to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath
the sharp sword with two edges;
Repent;
or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
The church engages in this battle as well-
When we function in our gift [stones in the bible also represent
gifts]
A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it:
whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth. Prvb. 17:8
People see a ‘new identity’ [new name on the stone] they see
God speaking thru us.
The world does not know God- but we do.
John
3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we
should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because
it knew him not.
Thus- the White stone with a new name- that only ‘we know’.
Believers know Jesus Christ- and it is only those who ‘receive
it-him’ by the Spirit- that know the name-
and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man
knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Rev. 2
14 But the
natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned. Cor.
Wherefore
I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that
no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. ... Cor.
So- no man ‘knows’ the name- but those who receive it-
And believers have indeed received Christ-
And we bare his name
‘Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in
particular’. Cor.
When we- the people of God let God speak thru us- they see
God thru the gift-
The ‘stone’ is functioning thru us-
We are the Body of Christ- and are wielding judgment and life
thru the Word- just like Jesus did [does].
And now he is doing it thru us-
19 But when
they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall
be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is
not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Matt.
See?
Ok- I said ‘in short’.
